Ourlee

A shared space I built for my partner and me, because every relationship app out there either has an interface that feels like an afterthought or costs more than it should for what it does. Ourlee bundles a shared calendar, shared files and photo library, location sharing, notes and a Christ-centred faith layer into one clean, minimal app. Currently in closed beta.

I did not like any of the apps built for couples — the interfaces are usually rough, and the good ones are expensive for what amounts to a shared calendar. I wanted something more thoughtful and more specific to us, so I built it myself with every feature we actually wanted.

We also had a practical problem: I am on iOS, my partner is on Android, so anything I built had to work identically on both from day one. That is why it is one Expo and React Native Web codebase, shipping to iOS, Android and the web at once against a FastAPI backend.

It is built around the people you share a life with: a shared calendar, shared files and a shared photo library, location sharing, private notes, and a faith layer with a daily verse and multi-day devotionals — all Christ-centred, in a clean, minimal UI. The content is hand-curated, there is no third-party analytics, and there are no ads.
