We kill the plants so you do not have to.

Ninebark started in 2009 as four hoop houses behind a house on Founders Parkway. Everything we sell is grown or finished on site and left outside through the winter, which is the only honest way to find out what survives at six thousand feet with forty mile an hour wind in March. Plenty of things have not. Those are the ones you will not find on our benches, and that is most of what you are paying for.

Took a bag of dirt in, got a straight answer and a plan, spent nothing that day.

Good to know

When do the vegetable starts come in?

Early April, and they are gone by the end of June. Do not plant them out before Mother’s Day whatever the weather is doing.

Do you deliver?

Within about fifteen miles, from $90 depending on the load. Anything balled-and-burlapped has to be delivered because it is heavier than it looks.

Can I bring soil in to be tested?

Yes, a cup in a sandwich bag is plenty. It is free and there is no catch.

What does the guarantee actually cover?

Trees and shrubs, one replacement, inside a year, with the tag. It does not cover anything that was never watered, and we can usually tell.
